Terms of Service
Last updated: October 28, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Vladyslav Fedoniuk, who runs FTPie as a sole proprietorship registered in Poland, NIP 8133881618 ("we", "us", "our"). They cover:
- the website at ftpie.com and its free tools ("Website")
- buying FTPie licenses through the Website
- the online services you can use from the FTPie app: FTPie links, hosted on ftpie.link, and FTPie mail ("Online Services")
The FTPie app itself is licensed under our End-User License Agreement ("EULA"). How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
By using the Website or the Online Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.
1. The Website
You may read the Website, download our software for use under its license, use the free tools on the Website, and share links to our pages. All content on the Website, including text, graphics, logos and software, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law.
You agree not to:
- copy or republish substantial parts of the Website, or use them commercially, without our permission
- extract content systematically, or access the Website with automated tools in a way that burdens it
- hack, probe, overload or disrupt the Website or our servers, or introduce malware
- impersonate any person or entity, or use the Website for unsolicited advertising
- use the Website in breach of any law
The Website may link to third-party websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content; you visit them at your own risk.
The free tools on the Website, such as calculators and connection testers, give information only. Check important results yourself before relying on them.
2. Purchases and Licenses
Licenses are sold on the Website at the prices shown before you pay, which may be adjusted to your region. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. After payment you receive your license key by email, together with your invoice or receipt.
The EULA sets out what a license allows, how subscriptions renew and how to cancel them, and our 30-day money-back guarantee. That guarantee is in addition to any rights you have by law as a consumer.
3. The Online Services
What they are
FTPie links let you share a screenshot, a note, or links to files on your own cloud storage through a short link on ftpie.link. FTPie mail sends share emails, and alerts to your own address, from the FTPie app through our mail service, without your own email setup.
Who can use them
The Online Services are available with an active FTPie trial or paid license. Some features, such as FTPie mail, also need a verified email address. We decide which features each plan includes.
They are optional
You can always share your storage provider's own links and send mail through your own email server instead. Nothing then passes through our servers.
Quick sharing, not storage
- An item you share is deleted automatically after 30 days without a visit. An item created during a trial is deleted after 7 days at most.
- You can revoke an item from the app at any time; it is deleted at once.
- The list of your items is kept only in the app on your device. If you lose it, for example by reinstalling, you can still remove an item from its page with your license key, through the Report link.
- We do not back up shared items and cannot restore them. Keep your own copy of anything you share.
Links and passwords
Anyone who has the link to an item without a password can open it, so share links only with the people you mean to see them. When you protect an item with a password, the app encrypts it with a key made from that password before it leaves your device. We cannot read it, and we cannot recover a forgotten password. Anyone who has both the link and the password can open the item.
Limits
The Online Services have usage limits, for example on the size and number of items, the number of emails and the rate of requests, to keep them fair and working for everyone. Limits are lower during a trial. We set and change limits at our discretion and do not publish them; the app tells you when you reach one.
FTPie mail
A mail sent through FTPie mail shows your verified email address as its sender name and reply-to address, and contains the links you share and your short message. It can carry only FTPie links and links to the storage services the app supports. Send it only to people who expect it from you, never as advertising or bulk mail. Recipients can stop all FTPie mail with one click, and we stop sending to addresses that bounce or complain.
4. Your Content
You keep all rights to what you share through the Online Services ("Your Content"). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, copy, transmit and display Your Content only as far as needed to run the Online Services: to deliver it to the people who open your links, to handle reports, and to comply with the law. This permission ends when Your Content is deleted, except for copies in our backups, which are deleted within 30 days.
You are responsible for Your Content and for having the right to share it. We do not review content before it is shared.
5. Acceptable Use
You must not use the Online Services to share, send or link to:
- anything illegal, including child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, or content that infringes someone's copyright, trademark or other rights
- malware, phishing pages, or anything meant to deceive people or to obtain their passwords or payment details
- spam, unsolicited advertising, or mail to people who do not expect it
- content that harasses or threatens anyone, or incites violence or hatred
- other people's personal data without a lawful reason
- sensitive data, such as passwords, payment card or bank details, health records or identity documents. The Online Services are made for quick sharing, not for confidential records
You also must not:
- try to get around limits, license checks or security measures, for example by creating many trials
- probe, scan or attack the Online Services, or use them through anything other than the FTPie app and the pages on ftpie.link
- use the Online Services to distribute files at scale, as a content delivery network, or as permanent storage
6. Reports, Removal and Moderation
Anyone can report a shared item through the Report link on its page, or by email to abuse@ftpie.link. A report should identify the link and explain why the content is illegal or breaks these Terms.
We review reports by hand. We may disable, hide or delete any item, and suspend a license's access to the Online Services, when we believe the content or its use breaks the law or these Terms, or when we are required to act. An item reported by several different people may be hidden automatically until we have reviewed it; apart from that, we use no automated moderation. We cannot inspect items protected by a password and act on reports about them with the information we have.
We know a sharer only by a license key, so we usually cannot tell you when we remove your item. If you believe we removed it by mistake, write to abuse@ftpie.link. Where the law requires it, we keep information about removed content and report it to the authorities.
Our point of contact for authorities and for users, including under the EU Digital Services Act, is abuse@ftpie.link. We answer in English or Polish.
7. Availability, Changes and Ending of the Online Services
The Online Services are included with FTPie trials and paid licenses at no extra charge. They are not sold separately, and the price of a license does not depend on them. We provide them as they are and as available.
We may change, limit, suspend or end any Online Service, or any feature of one, at any time, for example for security, abuse, cost or legal reasons. If we decide to end an Online Service, we will try to announce it in the app at least 30 days before; on that date, all items hosted by that service are deleted, whether or not they have been visited.
The FTPie app keeps working without the Online Services, and so do your storage provider's own links.
8. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or end your access to the Website or the Online Services, and delete your shared items, if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if your use puts our services or other people at risk. You can stop using the Online Services at any time and revoke your items from the app.
9. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the Website, its free tools and the Online Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that a shared item will stay available, or that an email will reach its recipient. Information on the Website may be incomplete or out of date, and technical details may change without notice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profits, revenue, business or goodwill, or for loss, corruption or disclosure of data or content, including Your Content
- we are not liable for content shared by other users, or for the acts or failures of the third-party services we rely on, such as Cloudflare, Stripe and email providers
- our total liability arising from the Website and the Online Services is limited to the amount you paid us for FTPie in the 12 months before the claim
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, such as liability for damage caused intentionally, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold us harmless against any claims, damages, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Website or the Online Services, or your breach of these Terms.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland. If you act for business purposes, the courts of Rzeszów, Poland have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts there.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms, for example when we add or change Online Services or when the law changes. We post the new version on this page with a new date and announce significant changes on the Website or in the FTPie app. If you keep using the Website or the Online Services after a change takes effect, the updated Terms apply to you. We may transfer these Terms to a successor of our business, such as a company formed to run FTPie.
