Security
Data Encryption During Transit
At FTPie, your data's security during transit is paramount. Here's how we ensure it:
1. Secure Protocols: FTPie uses SSL/TLS encryption for data transfers, protecting your files as they move between your device and our servers or integrated cloud storage.
2. FTP on Port 21: Note that FTP on port 21 lacks inherent security. We recommend using FTPS or SFTP for safer transfers.
3. Secure Cloud Integrations: When connecting FTPie to cloud services like Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive, data transferred is encrypted using the respective service's secure protocols.
With these measures, your data is kept safe throughout the transfer process. Trust FTPie for secure file transfers.
Secure Cloud Account Integration
FTPie offers seamless integration with popular cloud storage services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive. What sets us apart is our commitment to your security and privacy. When you add these accounts to FTPie, we don't require you to input your usernames and passwords directly within our app. Instead, we prioritize your security through OAuth integration.
OAuth Integration: When you choose to link your Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive accounts, FTPie takes you through a secure OAuth process. This means you are redirected to your web browser, where you grant access to your cloud storage for FTPie. Your sensitive login credentials never pass through our servers or are stored in our application.
Privacy Assurance
Your privacy is paramount to us. We do not track or monitor your activity within FTPie. Your data remains yours, and we have no interest in collecting or analyzing your personal usage patterns. Our commitment to privacy ensures that your experience with FTPie is not only secure but also respectful of your digital footprint.
Secure Password Handling
Your security begins with us. When it comes to your FTP account passwords, rest assured that they are encrypted locally on your PC. This means that your sensitive information remains confidential, stored securely on your own device. We don't access or store your FTP passwords on our servers, providing an extra layer of security.
